Absolute Value 

"有之以為利,無之以為用"
或許可以用來說明我們在設計上的企圖
未見的、無序的虛空間允許了未經過安排,更貼近使用者自我的方式流動著

畫出一道弧線
它形成一道牆、一扇窗或是一個遮簷
成為可見的實體
但那未見的延伸關係、
未顯示在圖面上的部分卻在這樣的使用時與所有的意圖(INTEND)成為整體的存在
成為"空間"

所以實有而讓物體有了意義,虛無而讓物體有了用途。
我們之所以形塑空間、創造空間
"實"是手段
"虛"是唯一的目的

這樣來回與隱晦的關係或可用"對位法(Counterpoint)"來加以譬喻/
不是指單獨的音符之間的和弦,而是指旋律之間的相互作用/
它既可以是用兩條或兩條以上的旋律交織成和弦/
也可以是以多組和弦交織表現出旋律/

對位與和聲的特點剛好相反,和聲追求的是縱向的發展,除了一條主要的聲部外,其他的聲部在自己的進行中以特定的和聲結構輔助這條主要的聲部;對位追求的則是橫向的發展,各個聲部各不相同,但又要互相和諧不衝突,這樣的狀態如此吸引,願我們都在理想的路上沉醉。

The characteristics of counterpoint and harmony are just the opposite. Harmony pursues vertical development. Except for one main part, other parts use specific harmony structure to assist this main part in their own progress; Counterpoint pursues horizontal development. The various voices are different, but they must be harmonious and not conflicting with each other. Such a state is so attractive. May we all be intoxicated on the road of ideals.
